Moving and exercise are sort of the same thing. You might go to the gym, or you might go in your backyard and pull weeds. Both will exercise muscle. In both cases, you will get out of it what you put into it. Also, when you go to the gym, your mind thinks that this is exercise, but that is semantics. You go to the gym to move your body. You might as well have been scrubbing your tub, or vacuuming the entire house, or energetically rearranging your kitchen cabinets, but you joined the gym, so you go.

When you work out, or move, in order to get the most out of it, visualize the joints and muscles you are working. Move your whole body. Put effort into it. This advice is accurate for when you are at the gym, or when you are cleaning your house. The way to improve the health of your body, and to accelerate weight loss, is to move.

Exercise is simpler than you think. Don’t be scared by the term “exercise.” It can mean different things to different people.

Take out a piece of paper and write down how you enjoy moving. Do you like to take your dog for a walk? Do you enjoy mowing the lawn or trimming the rose-bush? Do you yearn to put on your old skates and go to the rink? Do any of your passions involve movement? The point is that you don’t need to label your movement as anything. All you need to do is move! Move in a way you enjoy, and the exercise portion of your plan to get trim will be easy!
